How do you protect my privacy? |top|
Individual Therapy/Counseling - If you are age 15 or older, you are entitled to confidentiality under Maryland law. Information regarding your treatment can be released only if you have given permission, or if the information you give reveals physical or sexual abuse of a child, or establishes that you pose a danger to yourself or others.
If you are a minor, confidentiality is achieved by contracting with the parent or legal guardian as part of the treatment contract.
Workshops/Retreats/Support Groups - The group leader discusses the importance of confidentiality in providing the safety and trust that are needed for healing, learning and growth to occur. Participants pledge “what we say here stays here” to maintain the anonymity of all those present and the confidentiality of all information shared.
