Free Parenting Lecture: Raising Children Who Thrive

Saturday, November 12th 1:00 to 2:30

Raising happy and healthy children, and creating healthy families are among the most important things that we do.

Please join us on November 12th for a presentation and discussion of the crucial elements and parenting skills which support raising children who thrive. Gayle Bohlman, LCSW-C will present this very practical approach to the essential relationship and communication skills for positive parenting. Utilizing the work of researcher Dan Siegel, Gayle will present how the skills which provide for a healthy parent child relationship also affect brain development, and personality.

During our time together you will experience an insightful discussion about the stages of love and participate in a small group presentation on Imago Relationship Theory. You will learn about the unconscious forces that influence romantic attraction and discover the source and purpose of most of the conflict in your relationship and how to begin moving from conflict to connection. Couple-hood: A New Way To Love

A 6-Week Group For Couples Wanting to Enhance and Deepen Their Relationship

This is a 6-week educational program for couples based on Imago Relationship Therapy and the best-selling book Getting The Love You Want by Harville Hendrix, Ph.D., and Helen Lakelly Hunt, Ph.D. The purpose of the program is to educate and support couples with the theory and skills that enable them to protect, nourish, and transform their relationship into an enduring and fulfilling connection. The group will meet for six weeks beginning Thursday, September 22nd. Groups begin at 6:30 pm and end at 8:30 pm. The cost is $60 per couple per group meeting and a one time expense of $50 (for the couple) to cover workbooks and companion DVD. During our time together you will:

Co-create a relationship vision.

Learn a new way to talk and a new way to listen.

Acquire the skills to manifest their vision.

Discover the uniqueness of one's partner.

Uncover the opportunities for emotional healing and personal growth embedded in your partner's uniqueness.

The group size is limited to eight couples and is appropriate for couples at any stage of couple-hood but it is not intended to be therapeutic for couples in crisis.
